How to be a Vtuber with a Switch 2
27UPDATE: I think I've figured out why some capture cards work and others don't. The two capture cards I used that do work (the Vivitar and the ShadowCast 1) use MJPEG compression as their only output. The other capture cards I tested have other outputs (usually UYVY or YUV2 uncompressed output) in addition to MJPEG. My assumption is that the Switch 2 only accepts MJPEG or other compressed video, and those other cards are defaulting to uncompressed video. Which, realistically, translates to the same outcome: cheaper capture cards for lower resolutions will probably not use uncompressed video streams.
A quick guide on how to use a capture card to help Vtubers (and other streamers who like keeping their real faces hidden) make the most of the Nintendo Switch 2's camera functionality.
