Disclaimer:

I played on the non-steam version because it was easier to manipulate save files this way. One of my rules was that I was allowed to make a save point after I've gotten through a fight. I'm not that much of a masochist to restart an entire dungeon or save file the moment I get hit. I don't think it can be done that way anyway.
Aside from that the other rule is that I'm not allowed to take any physical damage. Getting hit means going back to the previous save. This means hits from regular attacks, but also traps, DoT, failed hunger checks and clearing rubble without a shovel. Only stress/horror is okay, since it's not physical.
