457How To Beat Metal Slug 3! 1cc Guide and Commentary! Metal Slug 3 is considered one the the best games in the series (it is very good) and also a very challenging one due to some brutal stages and boss fights. In today's video I show my recent 1cc (no continue clear) of the game and give advice and guidance on how to get your own 1cc and also my thoughts on the game overall! I am a massive Metal Slug fan and so it was a really nice breath of fresh air playing the series again! What's fantastic about Metal Slug 3 is that it is clearly the most popular game in the series with an insane amount of console ports, which are as follows: Neo Geo AES, Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5. Xbox 1, PC (Steam) and probably a bunch of others that I am forgetting. Personally though, my favorite ways to play the game are on the Mister FPGA, which is like the arcade version, or on ShmupArch 8, which I am doing in this video with fully overclocked cpu to remove slowdown and pre-emtive frames to reduce input lag. It feels like a different, and better game, with these changes! This fun isn't exaclty a speedrun (i'd be dq'd for using changed cpu speed anyway) but I do try to keep a quick pace and do employ some speedrun strats from time to time :-)
Pretty soon I plan to play the rest of the game in the series and do a Metal Slug tier list, which is going to be a ton of fun!
