2HOW TO CATCH MEWTWO BEFORE BEATING THE ELITE FOUR
A Pokémon that knows the HM Fly,
Any trainer that you haven't beaten
A Pokémon with a Special stat of 131.
An Escape Rope
1. Go to the Nugget Bridge and go north to the trainer on the left side of the bridge hiding in the tall grass.
2. Make sure you press start before the trainer in the tall grass notice you. (You need to be quick on this).
3. Select your pokemon that knows fly and go to any trainer that you haven't beaten yet. (You will notice on the animation that before you flew away the trainer will notice you but will not be successful in challenging you since you flew away).
4. Fight any trainer that you haven't beaten yet
5. After the battle, go to Cinnabar Island Mansion and look for a Ditto.
6. Once you've encountered a Ditto, switch to your pokemon that has a stat of 131
(This is the hard part, before you start the glitch make sure you have a pokemon that has a Special Stat of 181. You can buy Carbos and give it to your desired pokemon or if you don't have a lot of money to buy Carbos, fight several Pokémon that have a high Special (e.g. Gastly) and deposit into a box.)
7. Make sure that the Ditto copies your Pokemon that has a special stat of 131.
8. Once he copies it, defeat the Ditto.
9. Use escape rope for your way out of the Cinnabar Island Mansion.
10. Go to Cerulean City and go to the Nugget Bridge. once you go north of the Nugget Bridge, the menu option of the game will automatically pop up and once you press B Mewtwo will show up.
11. Catch Mewtwo.
