To change the targeting mode in GTA 5 Online, you can follow these steps:

Go to Story Mode.
Press the Pause button on your controller to open the menu.
Navigate to Settings and select Controls.
Under Targeting Mode, select the mode you prefer.
Switch to Online Mode.

Please note that the targeting mode is grayed out in the online mode and cannot be changed directly. You need to change it in the story mode, which will transfer those settings to the online mode
