How to Change Weapon Sights or Reticles on Snipers in COD Warzone Verdansk (Easy Method)
2Start in the Warzone lobby. Go to the Weapons tab at the top. Select Edit Loadout and pick a loadout slot with your sniper—like the HDR, AX-50, or LW3 Tundra, all usable since Verdansk’s return. Choose your primary weapon, then hit Customize to enter the Gunsmith.
Scroll left to the Optics category—it’s the first or second slot, depending on the gun. Pick a sight from the list, like the VLK 3.0x Optic or Sniper Scope—anything you’ve unlocked for that weapon. If it’s grayed out, level up the sniper by getting kills in Warzone matches; grab it from floor loot or a supply drop in Verdansk to grind XP, since Black Ops 6 multiplayer won’t level Modern Warfare guns.
Once the sight is equipped, tweak the reticle if the optic allows it. Most sniper scopes—like the default Sniper Scope or Variable Zoom—let you customize this. In the Gunsmith, with the optic selected, look for the Reticle option below the attachment list. Click it to see available reticles—simple crosshairs, red dots, or fancier designs like the T Pose from older Modern Warfare unlocks.
Pick one and it’ll apply to that scope in that loadout. Not all sights have this—basic irons or some reflex sights don’t—but sniper scopes usually do. If no reticles show, you might need to unlock them through weapon challenges (check progression in the Gunsmith) or event rewards from Return to Verdansk safes.
