Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to change your Xbox Live password.

If your Xbox account has been hacked or compromised in any other fashion, the first thing you need to do is change the password associated with that account. Having access to that information could mean more than someone using your account to play games. That person could also root around and potentially dig up other information about you that could result in serious damages. You can change the password associated with your Xbox Live account through the Xbox website.

Steps to Change Xbox Live Password
1. Open your Web browser and navigate to www.xbox.com. The Xbox Live Account website appears.

2. Click "Sign In" in the upper right corner of the screen. The Xbox Live Sign In window appears.

3. Enter the email address associated with your Xbox Live account, and then click the green "Next" button. A prompt for the password associated with your account appears.

4. Enter the password associated with your Xbox Live account, and then click the green "Next" button. You'll be returned to the Xbox Live home screen, where you'll now see your gamertag and profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen.

5. Click your gamertag in the upper right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu appears.

6. Click "Xbox Settings" in the drop-down menu. The Xbox Settings screen appears.

7. Select "Change Password" beneath Xbox Settings along the top of the screen. A prompt to verify your identity will appear.

8. Click the option you want to verify your identity through, and then verify your identity. The Change Your Password screen appears.

9. Enter your current password in the Current Password field, and then enter your new password in both the New Password and Re-enter Password field. Click the blue "Save" button. The Microsoft Account sign-in page appears. The password to your Xbox account has now successfully been changed.
