Video Transcript:
Step 1. Tap your profile icon on your X home screen, and then tap "Settings and Privacy." The Settings screen opens.
Step 2. Tap "Your Account" in this menu.
Step 3. Tap "Account Information" in the next menu. The Account screen is displayed.
Step 4. Tap your current X username. The Update Username screen opens.
Step 5. Tap inside of the New field. A window pops up asking if you're sure you want to change your X username. Tap "Continue." You can now move forward with entering a new X username.
Step 5. Enter what you want to be your new X username in the New field. As you type, if you enter a username that's already been taken, you'll see a note that username is no longer available. Alternatively, if you enter a username that's available, you'll see a green check mark displayed next to it.
Step 6. Tap "Done." You'll return to your X account screen, where you'll see your new X username in the Username field.
