In this video, I will be showing you how to change your YouTube handle quickly and easily. Handles are unique to you and are short channel identifiers separate from channel names. They start with the “@” symbol and look like this @websplaining
All YouTube channels have a handle attached to them, and these handles can be used by both creators and viewers to find and communicate between other users in places like comments, mentions, and in Shorts. Your YouTube handle will also automatically become a new YouTube channel URL. For example my YouTube channel handle URL is https://www.youtube.com/@websplaining

Steps To Change YouTube Handle:
1. On up your browser and go to https://www.youtube.com
2. Click on your YouTube profile picture
3. Click Your channel
4. Click Customize channel
5. Click Basic info
6. Under Handle, type in your chosen handle into the text box to check the availability of your preferred handle. If you see a green checkmark to the right of the handle text box, your preferred handle is available. If you see a red exclamation mark to the right of the handle text box, your desired handle is unavailable.
7. Once you've found an available handle, click Publish
8. Click view channel to see your new handle.
Note: If your desired handle isn't available, it's usually because another channel already selected that handle or it didn't meet YouTube's handle naming guidelines.
An even quicker way to change your YouTube Handle:
1. Navigate to https://www.youtube.com/handle
2. Click Change handle
3. Enter your chosen handle into the text box
4. Once you have found an available handle, click on Confirm selection
Congratulations, you have successfully changed your YouTube handle.
