In this video, I will be showing you how to opt out of Signal stories for Android. In the video description below I have also included steps on how you can turn of Signal stories for iOS and Desktop devices too. Signal knows that not everyone wants to share or see stories on Signal and therefore they have allowed users on all operating systems the option to turn them off. Your choice to opt out of Signal stories is not broadcasted to any of your Signal contacts.

Steps To Turn Off Signal Stories:
Turn Off Signal Stories On Android:
1. Open your devices Signal app
2. Tap on the three vertical dots at the top right hand corner
3. Tap on Settings
Note: For step 2 you can alternatively tap on your profile picture at the top left hand corner to be taken into your Signal settings
4. Tap on Stories
5. Tap on Turn off stories
6. Tap on "Turn off stories" once again to confirm.
Turn Off Signal Stories On iOS:
1. Open your devices Signal app
2. Tap on your profile picture
3. Tap on Story privacy
4. Tap on Turn off stories
5. Tap on Turn Off and Delete Stories.
Turn Off Signal Stories On Desktop (Windows):
1. Click on your profile picture
2. Click Preferences...
3. Click Privacy
4. In the Stories section for Share & View Stories, click Turn off stories
5. Click Turn off.
Congratulations, you have successfully turned off stories on Signal.
