๐ฑ How to Check All Installed Applications on Google Pixel 9 Pro | App Management Guide ๐ ๏ธ
Your Google Pixel 9 Pro allows you to view a comprehensive list of every application installed on it. This includes apps you've downloaded from the Google Play Store as well as system applications that are part of the Android operating system and the Pixel experience. From this list, you can also access settings to manage each individual app.
How to Check All Installed Applications on Google Pixel 9 Pro:
Open the Settings application on your Google Pixel 9 Pro. You can usually find this app icon in your app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the gear icon.
In the Settings menu, tap on Apps.
Within the "Apps" section, you should see an option like See all [X] apps (where [X] will be the current number of applications installed on your device). Tap on this option.
You will now be presented with a list of all applications installed on your phone. You can scroll through this list to see everything.
This list typically shows user-installed apps by default. If you want to see system apps as well (which are usually hidden to prevent accidental changes), tap the three-dot menu icon (โฎ) located in the top-right corner of this screen. Then, select an option like Show system or "Show system apps."
To quickly find a specific app in this list, especially if you have many installed, look for a search icon (๐ ) which is usually at the top of the "See all apps" screen. Tap it and type the name of the application you are looking for.
Managing Individual Apps from the List:
Once you have the list of all applications displayed:
Tap on the name of any specific app in the list. This will open that app's App info screen.
The "App info" screen provides various options and information for managing that particular app. Common options include:
Notifications: Control how and if the app can send you notifications.
Permissions: View and modify the permissions that the app has been granted (e.g., access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts).
Storage & cache: See how much storage space the app and its data are using. You'll also find options here to Clear cache (which removes temporary files and can sometimes resolve minor app issues) and Clear storage (which deletes all the app's data, including login information, settings, and user files, effectively resetting the app to its initial state).
Mobile data & Wi-Fi: Manage the app's ability to use mobile data and Wi-Fi, including background data access.
Battery: View the app's battery consumption and adjust its battery optimization settings (e.g., unrestricted, optimized, restricted).
Open by default: If the app is set to open certain types of links or files by default, you can manage or clear those defaults here.
Force stop: This option immediately stops the app from running. It should be used with caution and typically only if an app is misbehaving or unresponsive.
Uninstall: This option will remove the app from your phone. It's available for apps you've downloaded. Most pre-installed system apps cannot be uninstalled.
Disable: For system apps that cannot be uninstalled, you might see a "Disable" option. Disabling an app prevents it from running and usually hides it from your app drawer.
๐ก Important Note:
โ Be careful when making changes like disabling system apps or clearing storage for applications, especially if you are unsure what an app does. Such actions can sometimes affect the proper functioning of your phone or lead to the loss of important data.
โ The "See all apps" list within the Settings menu is your central hub for viewing and managing every application installed on your Google Pixel 9 Pro.
