186I had to set my timing for a smog check and I figured I would make a quick video one how to do it on the Toyota Previa. It is kind of a hassle to do, but not too bad if you have a pair of ramps. You'll probably want to make sure you are wearing some kind of mechanics suit or a creeper. With a lift this should be much easier.
The tools needs are:
Timing Light
Paper Clip/Jumper
Ramps or Lift
12mm Socket with extension
The base timing on at least a 1991 Toyota Previa is 5 BTDC. The process and specs for the supercharged model may be different.
