To compute voltage drop calculation, follow these steps:

1. Determine the resistance of the conductor: The resistance of a conductor can be obtained from manufacturer's data or it can be calculated using the formula: R = ρL/A, where R is the resistance, ρ is the resistivity of the conductor material, L is the length of the conductor and A is the cross-sectional area of the conductor.

2. Determine the current flowing through the conductor: The current flowing through the conductor can be obtained from the load or from the ratings of protective devices.

3. Determine the length of the conductor: The length of the conductor is the total length of the circuit from the power source to the load.

4. Determine the electrical specifications of the circuit: This includes the voltage of the power source, and the voltage drop allowed on the circuit based on industry standards.

5. Compute the voltage drop: The voltage drop can be calculated using the formula V = IR, where V is the voltage drop, I is the current flowing through the conductor and R is the resistance of the conductor.

6. Compare the calculated voltage drop with the allowable voltage drop: If the calculated voltage drop is below the allowable voltage drop, then the circuit is acceptable. If it is above the allowable voltage drop, then the circuit needs to be redesigned or the conductor size needs to be increased.

It is important to note that voltage drop calculations should be done for every circuit to ensure that the voltage at the load is within acceptable limits.
