How to Connect & Pair Roku Remote to TV (Sync Tutorial)
0To connect and pair a Roku remote to a Roku TV:
Identify Remote Type:
IR Remote: No pairing button, needs line-of-sight.
Enhanced Remote: Has pairing button in battery compartment.
For IR Remote:
Insert fresh AA or AAA batteries.
Point at Roku TV within 10 feet, press Home or OK to test.
If no response, replace batteries, ensure clear line-of-sight.
For Enhanced Remote:
Insert fresh AA or AAA batteries.
Power on Roku TV, ensure correct HDMI input.
Press and hold pairing button in battery compartment for 5 seconds until LED flashes green.
Wait 10-30 seconds for pairing; test with Home button.
If it fails, restart Roku TV by unplugging for 10 seconds, retry pairing.
Set Up TV Control (if supported):
Go to Settings, Remotes and Devices, Remotes, select your remote, choose Set up remote for TV control.
Follow prompts to configure power/volume.
Troubleshoot:
Use Roku app (iOS/Android) on same Wi-Fi to navigate if remote fails.
