Here’s how to force turn off a frozen iPhone screen (works even if the screen is unresponsive):

For iPhone 8, X, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and newer:
Quickly press and release Volume Up
Quickly press and release Volume Down
Press and hold the Side button
Keep holding until the screen goes black
Release when it shuts off — do not wait for the Apple logo

For iPhone 7 / 7 Plus:

Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons together
Hold until the screen goes black
Release when the phone turns off

For iPhone 6s or older:
Press and hold Home + Power buttons together
Keep holding until the screen goes black
Release to fully shut down
