Connecting an Xbox One controller with a wired USB connection is a straightforward process. You don't need to pair the controller in the same way you would with a wireless controller because it's directly connected via USB. Here's how to do it:

Ensure the Controller and Xbox One Are Off: Make sure your Xbox One console and the controller are both powered off.

Connect the USB Cable:

Take the USB cable that came with your Xbox One or use a compatible USB cable.
Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the front or side of your Xbox One console.
Connect the Controller:

Connect the other end of the USB cable to the micro-USB port on the top of your Xbox One controller.
Power On the Xbox One and the Controller:

Turn on your Xbox One console.
After connecting the USB cable, your controller should also power on automatically. If it doesn't, you can manually turn it on by pressing the Xbox button in the center of the controller.
Wait for the Controller to Sync:

The Xbox One will recognize the controller as soon as it's connected. You'll see the controller's light on the front of the controller turn on, and it should sync with the console. The light will typically stay on and become solid.
