How to Connect your Xbox to the Xbox Phone App to use Remote Play or Remote Control(Setup Tutorial)
10To connect your Xbox console to the Xbox phone app for remote play or remote control, follow these steps:
Enable Remote Features on Your Xbox Console:
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to Profile & system- Settings -Devices & connections - Remote features.
Check the Enable remote features checkbox.
Also, ensure that your console’s power mode is set to Sleep (remote play won’t work otherwise). Adjust your console’s power mode settings if needed.
Install the Xbox App on Your Mobile Device:
Download and install the Xbox app from the Microsoft Store on your mobile device (available for iOS and Android).
Sign in with the same account linked to your Xbox console.
Connect to Your Xbox Console:
Open the Xbox mobile app.
Select the My Library icon and choose Consoles.
Pick the Xbox console you want to connect to.
Press Remote play on this device to initiate the connection.
Pair Your Xbox Controller:
Connect your Xbox controller to your mobile device via Bluetooth (use a charging cable if needed).
On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings, hold the sync button on the controller, and pair it with your phone.
Start Remote Play or Remote Control:
Return to the Xbox app and select a game to play or control other features.
