To back up games and apps on Xbox Series X to external storage, you can follow these steps:

Connect the external hard drive to your Xbox Series X|S.
From the Xbox Series X|S dashboard, go to the settings tab.
Scroll down to System and select Storage.
Select the game or app you want to back up.
Select Move or copy.
Choose the external hard drive as the destination for the backup.
Select Move or Copy again to start the backup process.
