How to Counter Skull Merchant in DBD - Explained FAST! [Dead by Daylight Guide]
357Hi! In this 2-minute DBD guide, I go over how to play against Skull Merchant; the newest killer added in Dead by Daylight's Tools of Torment Chapter (6.6.0 Update)!
The Skull Merchant plays at a much slower pace than most killers, being an M1 killer that excels at locking down and controlling areas with her drones. She isn't all that great at this though, as she has many counters to her power.
As long as you stay away from Active Mode zones and hack drones that are hovering over important objectives, you shouldn't have a hard time against her :)
NOTE:
A bonus tip for the console survivors, unlike PC players who can only use WASD, you can hack using either your left joystick or d-pad, so use the method that is fastest and most consistent for you :)
To counter the 2 new changes to her power:
1. She now gains bonus haste for every survivor tracked on her reader (either by Claw Traps or survivors being inside Active Mode zones)
- Counter this by staying out of Active Mode zones and removing Claw Traps IF the drone you had hacked was in a not so important location
2. When survivors hack a drone, the drone deactivates and stays in its location and doesn't go back to the killer until the survivor's Claw Trap is removed (it automatically removes after the battery dies)
- This nerf counters 3 genning, by allowing 1 survivor to hack the drone over a gen, and not remove the Claw Trap voluntarily!
- You'll no longer be able to hack multiple drones with a Claw Trap on you though, so you'll have to remove it before hacking another drone :)
