Your Google profile picture is visible in almost all of your Google services. While it does add a personal touch to have a picture on your Google account, it is possible to remove your Google profile picture entirely. When you do this, your Google profile photo will be replaced with a simple icon that just features the first letter of your first name.

Now let's walk through the steps to delete a Google profile photo.

Step 1. Open a web browser and navigate to aboutme.google.com. You'll land on your Google About Me home page. Switch to the Google account you want to delete the profile picture for.

Step 2. Click your current Google account profile icon. The Pick a Photo window is displayed.

Step 3. Click "No Photo." Your current Google account photo will be removed and replaced with a simple icon that is just the first letter of your first name. Additionally, a message will be displayed on your screen informing you that it will take some time for your changes to be displayed across your entire Google account. Click "Got It" to close that message.
