i. Here are some tips on how to access your data on Instagram:
- Go to your Instagram profile and click on the settings icon (the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner).
- Scroll down and select "Security" then "Access Data".
- Here you can request a download of the data associated with your Instagram account. This may include your photos, comments, stories, profile info, etc.
- It takes about 48 hours for Instagram to prepare your data download. Once ready, you'll get a notification and can download it from the Access Data page.
- The data will be in a zip file that you can extract and look through on your computer.
- You can request your Instagram data up to once per day. So if you need another download, you'll have to wait 24 hours.
- Instagram also provides info on how they collect and use data from user accounts in their Data Policy. You can view this for more context.
- If you need help accessing specific data that is not in your download, you can submit a request through the Instagram support options.
- Be aware that requesting your data is not the same as downloading your content. To save your photos/videos, you'll need to manually download them.

ii. Here are a few ways to delete an Instagram post:
- Open the post you want to delete and tap the three dots in the top right corner. Select "Delete". Confirm by tapping "Delete" again.

- You can only delete your own posts and stories. You cannot delete posts or stories that you are tagged in by others. You would need to untag yourself or ask the owner to delete it.
- If you need to delete your entire Instagram account, you can submit a deletion request from the app settings. Your account will then be permanently removed.
iii. Unfortunately there is no direct way to delete your entire Instagram search or browsing history. However, here are some steps you can take to clear parts of your Instagram activity history:
- Go to your Instagram profile and tap the three-line menu. Select ‘Settings’ then ‘Security’ and ‘Access Data’. Here you can request and then delete any collected data Instagram has stored on your account interactions.
- Delete your Instagram search history - Tap the Instagram search bar and you will see a list of your recent searches. Tap and hold any search term to delete it.
- Clear browser history - If you browse Instagram on your browser, be sure to clear your full browser history regularly to delete Instagram viewing activity.
- Unfollow accounts - Your follower and following lists can be considered part of your viewing history. Unfollow any accounts you no longer wish to be associated with.
- Turn off watch and search history - In Instagram settings, you can toggle off 'Watch History' and 'Search History' options to prevent this activity from being logged.
- Avoid logging activities - Consider using an alternative account or browsing while logged out to avoid tying any searches to your account.
- Delete old posts and stories - Though not directly search history, removing your own content can tidy up your account's past.
