Steps:
- There is no way of permanently switching off your shutter sound, but there are a few tricks you can do to achieve it.
- As you can hear, by default when you press the shutter it makes the sound. In order to mute it you can do one of the 3 following techniques.
- The first way is to activate silent mode on your iPhone by switching the side silent mode button, a popup will appear saying that silent mode is on. When silent mode is on you can take photos without the shutter sound.
- The second way is to simply turn your volume all the way down before you open the camera app, this will have the same effect and mute the shutter sound when you take the photo.
- The 3rd way is to turn on the Live photo feature of your camera. Tap the live icon at the top of the camera screen to enable it. Once live photo is enabled it won’t make a shutter sound when you take photos even if the volume is up and silent mode is switched off!
- While it isn’t possible to change a setting to permanently disable the camera sound on iPhone, you can do one of those 3 easy steps for times when you need to take silent photos.
