About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to download and install the SkyBlock Advanced map in Minecraft. What is the SkyBlock Advanced Map? Well it is a Minecraft SkyBlock world that has flying islands scattered around the sky. The main goals of SkyBlock Advanced are building, surviving, and exploring all of the islands around. So, without anymore delay, here is how to add SkyBlock Advanced to Minecraft!
First things first, you will need to download the SkyBlock Advanced map. You can find the SkyBlock download link in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right side and scroll down to the right-hand sidebar. Then, click the download button next to the SkyBlock version that you want. This will start the map downloading.
After SkyBlock is downloaded, we can move on to installing it. First through, we need to get it ready to install. To do this, right-click on the SkyBlock Advanced file you downloaded, select, Extract All, click Extract, and a folder will appear. Open this folder, and keep clicking folders until you see the ‘DIM1’ and ‘DIM-1’ folders. When you do, click the back arrow in the top left. Drag-and-drop this folder to your desktop. Finally, as soon as you open up this new folder, you should see these files.
Now, we can install SkyBlock Advanced in Minecraft. Do this by pressing the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. This will open up the Run app. In this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. The roaming folder will open up. In this folder, you will have a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you will see a saves folder. Open your saves folder, and finally, drag-and-drop the SkyBlock Advanced folder into this saves folder. Lastly, make sure that when you open up the SkyBlock Advanced folder you instantly see the ‘DIM1’ and ‘DIM-1’ folders. If so, you have successfully installed the SkyBlock map in Minecraft!
You can open up Minecraft, go to single player, and you will find SkyBlock Advanced there. Play the map like you would any other Minecraft world. You will load into the Minecraft SkyBlock world!
