After a long series of delays, part 3 is finally done! In this tutorial, I show you how to edit a simple video game walk through to demonstrate some fundamental editing techniques with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. However, these techniques are also available on most video editing soft wares.

You can watch parts 1 and 2 with the link to their playlist below:

Editing:
The reason I had to sync up the audio commentary to my video game footage is because I did not record them together with one audio source. I used a capture card for my video game footage/audio (as seen in part 1) and I used an external audio recorder for the commentary (part 2).

If it was not clear enough, you're trying to get the two separate audio sources to run at the same time. We do that by lining them up along a point that occurs in both of the audio tracks (say a high pitched beep).

I feel as though everything else about the editing was self-explanatory. If you have any questions, let me know.

Exporting:
This is the part where we take our editing project and turn it into a finished video file for uploading to youtube.

Most free editing softwares will not let you add video compression or change settings as they already have them preset for you. And most of these presets will work. The reason I alter my settings is because my videos are so long and have so much information in the original footage that the resulting file size is just too large without it.

So here is a rundown of the settings again, if your software lets you adjust them:
-*.flv file format (flash video)
-720p resolution
-2 encoding passes (also called multi-pass)
-Custom bit rate
--2000-3000 kbps (2000 for a longer video)
-Key frame distance: every 30 frames

This makes for a longer export time, but compensates by giving you a much smaller file size and a shorter uploading time.

Uploading:
If you have any questions about this portion, let me know in the comments and I will respond to them. : )
