Step 1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone home screen to open your device's control panel.

Step 2. Find the Portrait Orientation Lock icon, which features a padlock with an arrow wrapped around it. Tap that icon until it is no longer highlighted and you see a message at the top of the screen that says "Portrait Orientation Lock Off." Auto rotate will be enabled on your iPhone going forward.
