See how easy it is to control your NETGEAR router using just your voice with the Google Assistant.
You can now control your NETGEAR Nighthawk Routers, DSL Gateways, and Orbi Home WiFi Systems using voice commands on the Google Assistant. Once integrated with your router, the Google Assistant can remind you about your WiFi password, enable or disable a guest network, and much more.
First, make sure your router is updated to the latest firmware and you are connected to your local network. Download the NETGEAR genie app on your device and sign in with your account credentials. Once logged in, enable "Remote Access" in the NETGEAR genie app. If you are using the Google Assistant app on iOS devices, make sure your NETGEAR account is linked to Google.
Now, you can control your compatible NETGEAR with intuitive voice commands on the Google Assistant. Simply say, "Ok Google, talk to NETGEAR."
