How to Enable Virtualization Technology on Windows 10 or 11 PC (Mobile Gaming on PC)
Enabling virtualization technology on your Windows 10 or 11 PC allows you to run multiple operating systems or software applications simultaneously. Here are the steps to enable virtualization:
Check if Virtualization Is Already Enabled:
Some Windows 10 PCs and all PCs preinstalled with Windows 11 may already have virtualization enabled. To verify, follow these steps:
Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
Run the command systeminfo.exe.
Look for the value of Hyper-V Requirements. If it shows “Yes,” virtualization is already enabled.
Access the UEFI (or BIOS):
Restart your computer.
During startup, press the key or combination of keys displayed on the screen to access the UEFI (or BIOS) settings.
Alternatively, if you’re using Windows 11, you can:
Click the Start button.
Hold down the Shift key and click Restart.
Choose Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, and finally UEFI firmware settings.
Enable Virtualization in the UEFI (or BIOS):
Navigate to the Advanced or Advanced Features section.
Look for options related to virtualization, such as:
Intel Virtualization Technology (for Intel processors).
AMD-V (for AMD processors).
VT-x (processor-dependent).
Enable the appropriate option.
Save the changes and exit the UEFI (or BIOS).
Verify Virtualization:
After restarting your PC, open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
Run the command systeminfo.exe again.
Check the value of Hyper-V Requirements to ensure virtualization is working properly.
