Trying to create MP3 files from a video file? In this tutorial, I show you how to extract audio from any video file using VLC. VLC is a free, open source app that allows you to create audio files from video files. Using the method in this tutorial will convert any video file into an audio file.

Download VLC here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Follow the steps below to extract audio from video files using VLC:
1. Open VLC Media Player
2. With VLC open, select the Media in the top menu bar.
3. In the Media drop down select Convert / Save
4. Select Add and then find and add the video you want to convert to audio
5. After adding the video file, select Convert / Save at the botton of the VLC video.
6. In the VLC Convert window change two items.
β€’ Profile: Audio - MP3
β€’ Destination: Select Browse and find the location where you want to save the MP3 file.
7. Select Start
8. VLC Media Player will now extract the audio from the selected video file and save it in the desired location.
