Maybe your having minor issues with your JBL Flip 6. Or, maybe you let a bunch of other people connect to your device and you want to kick them off and make sure they can no longer connect to your portable Bluetooth speaker. In either case, resetting your JBL Flip 6 to its default factory settings is the best place to start. Restoring your JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speaker to its default settings unpairs the speaker from all device's it's connected to, and returns it to the same state it was when you took it out of the box. This will even return your JBL Flip 6 back to normal mode if you tried to experiment with low frequency mode.
Now let's walk through the steps to factory reset your JBL Flip 6 portable Bluetooth speaker, and return the speaker to its default factory settings.
Step 1. Turn on your JBL Flip 6. You can make sure the device is powered on by looking at the Power button on the back and making sure the LED light under it is bright.
Step 2. Hold down both the "Play" and "Volume Up" buttons for roughly five seconds, at which time the speaker should power down by itself. When the speaker powers down you'll hear the following sound. After the JBL Flip 6 shuts down its default factory settings will be restored.
Step 3. Press the "Power" button again to turn the JBL Flip 6 back on. When the portable Bluetooth speaker powers on it will instantly be in discovery mode and must be paired with another device before you can use it again.
