How to Find & Unlock the Brine Field Lantern in Abyssus 🏮 Hidden Catacombs Location Guide 2025
1In this Abyssus tutorial, I’ll show you how to find and unlock the Brine Field Lantern, a rare hidden item located deep in the catacombs after the Water/Hydro Boss. This lantern is one of the trickiest secrets to discover, since it only appears in a special room.
Here’s what you need to do:
1️⃣ Reach the Catacombs
Progress through the game until you’ve defeated the Water/Hydro Boss. From there, you’ll eventually enter the catacombs area of the map.
2️⃣ Look for the Special Room
The Brine Field Lantern only appears in a rare catacombs room that doesn’t always spawn. You’ll know you’ve found the right place if you see symmetrical pillars lining either side of the chamber that stop just short of the ceiling, plus faint flitting particle effects drifting near the top of the room.
3️⃣ Climb the Pillars
Inside, you’ll see a series of shorter pillars and one large central pillar. Carefully jump across the smaller ones to reach the center platform.
4️⃣ Claim the Lantern
On top of the central pillar, you’ll find the Brine Field Lantern waiting for you to pick it up and unlock forever.
⚠️ Note: The room is randomized, so you may need to play through the catacombs multiple times before you encounter it. Keep an eye out for the particle effects and symmetrical layout to spot it quickly.
👉 Once you’ve unlocked the Brine Field Lantern, it’s permanently added to your collection, making your future dives into Abyssus even more rewarding.
