Step 1. Open a web browser, navigate to PlayStation.com, and then sign in to your PlayStation account if you're not signed in already. You'll land on your PlayStation home screen.

Step 2. Click your profile icon at the top of this screen to open a menu, and then click "Account Settings" in this menu. Your PlayStation account settings menu is shown.

Step 3. Click "Security" in the menu on the left side of this screen. A window pops up letting you know that you'll be redirected to another screen.

Step 4. Click "Continue." You'll land on a Sony security screen.

Step 5. Navigate down to the 2-Step Verification section, and then click "Backup Codes" in this section. A Backup Codes screen is shown, where you'll see the backup codes you can use to access your account if you're having problems with your two-step verification methods. You should either print these codes, or copy them to a safe place where you can access them if you need them.
