Try to host or join again but on a different server Like Asia, North America, or Europe. This is the most common solution for this problem but the other solutions will provide you a permanent fix to it.

If you're trying to join a game and among us is not letting you do so then you can Choose a lobby with less no. of players in it. Also, don't join a lobby with just 1 or 2 people in it. Try joining a lobby that has around 8 to 10 people out of 15.

You could encounter this problem if you haven't created an account and signed into among us yet. So, make sure that you sign into the game so that you can save progress as well as fix this issue

So if you're trying to host a game then go to the host lobby and then select the map and choose the number of players so I chose 15 here and it does not work so next what I would do is try to decrease the number of imposters or even better I would try to Decrease the number of players from 15 to 14 and if it still does not work then I would further decrease it down the line. so here I'm trying to decrease it from 14 to 6 and if it still does not work then you can decrease it further down to 5 or 4.
