Frequently we have machines sent in that are liquid damaged and while we fix up the logic boards it's often at that point that during testing we find that one or two of the keys are not responding correctly.

Sometimes with the Macbook butterfly keys it's a simple case of some dirt under the keycaps, othertimes it's a more serious fault and the liquid has resulted in the actual circuit board traces to be destroyed.
