How to fix nvRAM error of MediaTek devices-IMEI & Mac address fix
FOR THE MEDIATEK DEVICE USERS WHO ARE HAVING NVRAM ERROR...
To fix invalid IMEI:
01. MTK Engineering mode
02. Connectivity Tab
03. CDS Information
04. Radio Information
05. Phone 1
06. AT +EGMR=1,7,"SIM 1 IMEI"
07. Send AT command
note: If you don't get "AT command send OK" message after clicking "Send AT command" button
then try number6 again without inserting a space after "AT".
08. Go back to "Radio information"
09. Phone 2
10. AT +EGMR=1,10,"SIM 2 IMEI"
11. Send AT command
note: Again... If you don't get "AT command send OK" message after clicking "Send AT command" button
then try number10 again without inserting a space after "AT".
To fix WiFi MAC changing error:
01. Open terminal window app and type these commands: ‘su‘ and hit Enter.
02. If you have not already granted access to the app, it will prompt you for root access. Tap ‘Allow’.
03. To know your current network interface name type ‘ip link show‘ and hit enter.
Make note of your network interface name.
For the purpose of this tutorial, we will consider ‘eth0‘ to be the interface name.
04. Now, enter this command: ‘busybox ip link show eth0‘ and press enter.
Your current MAC address will be displayed. This is just for your information.
05. To change the MAC address, type the following command and hit enter:
‘busybox ifconfig eth0 hw ether XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY‘. Change ‘XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY’ with any MAC address you desire.
06. You have successfully changed your MAC address!
07. To check the same use the command: ‘busybox iplink show eth0‘. You should see the new MAC address you entered.
note: The MAC address change through this method is permanent and does not change upon device restart.
