when trying to update a game in the EA App that was originally installed through the Origin client on Windows. In the EA App, click on LIBRARY. In Library, find the game in question that requires updating. Click on the 3 horizontal dots '...' in the upper right corner of the game poster title. Select REPAIR. From there, give it a good hour or so to repair itself, and hopefully this will fix your problem and allow you to once again launch and play your game. This issue affected the game GRID Legends for me, but it is presumed that this issue would also affect other games as well.
