Simple fix for Video tearing with Nvidia Graphics Cards in KDE 5. This tutorial covers KDE in all Linux distros, including Kubuntu 14.04/16.04, Linux Mint, Debian, Fedora, Arch, etc.

The fix involves setting the Environment variable __GL_YIELD=USLEEP

Instructions

$ mv kwin_env.sh ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env/
$ chmod +x ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env/kwin_env.sh
