How to get a Free PSVR to PS5 Adapter in Canada
32In this video I just wanted to show you how to order your Free PSVR to PS5 dongle if you live outside of the USA (specifically if you are in Canada). I've had a PS5 for a little bit and I wanted to hook up my PSVR to it recently. I found out you need a proprietary PlayStation adapter to hook it up with your existing PSVR setup.
In the USA all you have to do is visit the USA site here: https://camera-adaptor.support.playstation.com/en and order it. As it turns out if you live outside of the USA and specifically in Canada this might prove a bit more difficult.
You will need your Serial Number for your PSVR Located on the back of the Control unit for this process.
A bit of my adventure:
1st I tried googling it and found the standard link for the USA. I entered in my serial number for the PSVR and started filling out my personal information. Unfortunately it looked like Canada was not on the list.
It did direct me to contact some local distributors so I did...I talked to EBGames, BestBuy and some local shops around town by phone and they hadn't heard anything about this.
I logged into the PlayStation website and chatted with a PlayStation support bot and quickly realized it was a waist of time.
So I jumped on twitter and contacted PlayStation support (@AskPlayStation). They weren't able to help and direct me to the PlayStation support on their website.
So i logged back onto the PlayStation website to chat with a customer support agent...they were not able to help and escalated this up to a tier 2 agent and i never heard from them again. I assume they are too busy dealing with all the Cyberpunk 2077 refunds atm...
Finally after doing some serious google fu and help to a reddit community I found this link that has Canada listed and was able to order it!
I have yet to receive it so stay tuned for that update... Ill show you how to hook it up once it arrives. Hope this helped!
