Note: You must obtain HM 03 Surf to reach Kabuto.

- The Dome Fossil is for Kabuto.
- The Helix Fossil if for Omanyte.

- Kabuto is a fossil Pokémon, which means its particular fossil must be retrieved, (the Dome Fossil) and delivered to the Cinnabar Island Scientist in order for it to resurrect and come to life. Same deal with Omanyte, but you'll need the Helix Fossil instead.
- You don't have to wait long at all, just leave the room and re-enter and the Scientist will be finished.

- For Kabuto: It will be at Level 5 and will know the moves Scratch and Harden.
- For Omanyte: It will be at Level 5 and will know the moves Constrict and Withdraw.
