This is a glitch where you can get loads of nanites and is working as of version No Mans Sky 2.41
Apologies for the lack of my voice as my mic is broken

What you need to do is the following

1.Fly to the space station and get out of your ship thereby creating an autosave
2.Go to the vendors on the left handside and buy as many upgrades as you can
3.Get in your ship and leave the station and summon the Nexus
4.Fly into the Nexus and DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR SHIP
5.Transfer an item to a player(This took a few attempts for me)
6.Reload your autosave
7.You will then see you have your original amount of Nanites and all the upgrades
8.Simply goto any vendor and sell the upgrades and boom you have gained more Nanites
9.To repeat jump in and out of your ship and do it all again
