So the ZArchiver app wont extract the files to the external sd card. Well the new KitKat (not sure about Lollipop) OS limits the 3rd party apps to copy and paste files to the external sd card. Luckily I have a workaround for this. So here goes....
- Step 0: (In short) Extract everything to the internal memory of your device and afterwards copy or move the .iso (or in some cases .cso) files to the external sd card with the Android preinstalled app called "File Commander". All this will use up a lot of space on your internal memory so you may want to delete the extracted file's after each step to free up space. If you're unsure how all this works read on.......
- Step 1: when the download is finished open up ZArchiver select the zip/rar file and select "Extract here"
- Step 2: open the extracted folder and select the .rar file and select (once more) "Extract here" (if no .rar file is present check the this part of the video 8:50 and extract it to the same folder)
- Step 3: Rename the .iso (or in some cases .cso) file if you want to (like in the video), and close the Zarchiver app.
- Step 4: Open the app "File Commander" witch should be preinstalled on your KitKat Android device and "copy or cut" the .iso (or in some cases .cso) file to your external sd card this way. File Commander will allow you to do that for it is preinstalled and permitted by the Android OS to do this.
