How to Get Regigias - Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum.
63This video describes the methods needed to obtain Regigigas in the gen 4 Pokemon games Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum and shows the steps needed to accomplish this.
As mentioned in the video itself, you'll need to capture Regice, Regirock, and Registeel in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. If you don't know how to do this, check out my channel for videos on how to unlock and capture each one!
It doesn't matter if one Regi came from Ruby, if one came from Sapphire, and another Regi came from Emerald, so long as you have all three when you venture into Snowpoint Temple. It doesn't matter if the trainer IDs don't match with one another. The only thing that matters is they're from the same language as the Gen 4 game. If you happened to trade them to FireRed/LeafGreen for Pokedex entries, you can simply migrate them from those games without needing to trade back to RSE.
Ideally you'd want them to be on the same Gen 3 game as this makes migration a lot easier. Otherwise you'll need to swap cartridges and go through the motions each time you migrate, which can be a bit tedious and boring.
Things get more complex if you're playing on a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo 3DS as these systems lack a GBA slot needed for migration. You'll need a regular DS or DS Lite to use the Pal Park, or know someone who has one of those systems. If you don't have access to a regular DS or DS Lite, you'll have to trade the Regis from another Gen 4 game onto your game. If you don't have that either, then you can use an action replay device to obtain the Regi Pokemon that way.
Alternatively, in Pokemon Platinum, you can use an Action Replay device to put a special event Regigigas into your game, which will allow access to special Regi Pokemon dotted throughout Sinnoh. You can then use these three Regi Pokemon to awaken Regigigas in Snowpoint Temple. Be careful when using action replay, as it is possible to corrupt or alter your save game file.
