Did you know you can get a robot dog companion named Rex in Fallout: New Vegas? When Rex is your companion, he grants the Search and Mark perk, which makes chems, firearms, and ammo glow when you zoom in—super helpful for scavenging in dark areas.

To unlock Rex, head to The Kings in Freeside and complete the quest GI Blues. After finishing it, you can ask about Rex, which starts the quest Nothing But a Hound Dog. Complete it, and Rex will join you as a loyal companion!
