This is Boone—an ex-NCR sniper who’s deadly accurate from a distance. When he’s your companion, he grants the Spotter Perk, which highlights enemies whenever you aim—making it much easier to pick targets in combat.

To recruit Boone, head to Novac and wait until 9 PM. Go inside the Dino Dee-lite gift shop, then climb up into the dinosaur’s mouth where Boone is on duty. Talk to him to begin the quest One for My Baby. Complete it, and Boone will join you as a companion!
