ED-E is one of the best companions in Fallout New Vegas. Not only can he snipe enemies from afar with his laser, but he also gives you access to a reloading bench and workbench through dialogue. On top of that, he provides the Enhanced Sensors perk, letting you detect enemies from greater distances and even tag cloaked enemies in V.A.T.S.

You can find ED-E in Primm inside the Nash residence. He’ll be lying on the counter when you enter, but you’ll need to repair him first.
