0Hiding chats in WhatsApp can help maintain privacy and keep certain conversations out of sight. There are two main ways to hide chats: using the Archive feature or the Chat Lock feature.
To archive a chat, open WhatsApp and long press on the chat you want to hide. Tap the archive icon (a small box with a downward arrow). This moves the chat to the Archived section, keeping it hidden from your main chat list. To access archived chats, scroll to the top of your chat list and tap "Archived." If you want to unarchive a chat, long press on it and select Unarchive.
For additional security, you can lock a chat. Long press the chat, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, and select Lock chat. You will need to confirm with your fingerprint or passcode. Once locked, the chat moves to a hidden Locked Chats section. To access it, swipe down on your chat list and enter your fingerprint or passcode.
