An "Unknown Device" in your Device Manager means your computer has detected a piece of hardware connected to it but it can't identify what it is usually due to a missing or outdated driver, incompatible hardware, or a faulty cable, causing it to appear as an unknown device with a yellow exclamation mark next to it; to identify it, you can right-click on the device, go to "Properties", and then the "Details" tab to find its "Hardware IDs" which you can then search online to find the correct driver
