Minecraft is a sandbox game with randomly generated worlds, this means that there is no way for there to be a proper story, if you add ruins then the player can access the story in a different order. Even in that case though, you can’t really progress the story, you can only tell what has happened in the past. Trying to make Minecraft have a story is pointless but we can still make its lore stronger than it is now.
