Deadlock is a third-person 6v6 shooter which combines hero shooter elements with MOBA-like mechanics. Matches take place on a large map where two teams of six players attempt to control checkpoints by leading minions down four lanes, destroying enemy defenses, and buying upgrades.
Eliminating minions and creeps gives players currency through which they can purchase upgrades. Each lane follows a sky rail that can be zipped across in order to quickly cover large distances.
