This guide is only for NTSC consoles, meaning for example a Japanese or an American GameCube. If you have a PAL GameCube unfortunately you cannot perform this modification due to the 50/60 Hz difference.

This mod allows you to install a switch which will easily allow you to switch between an NTSC-U GameCube and an NTSC-J GameCube with ease and without having to swap or import other consoles! Although this does not aid in allowing you to play homebrew or backups, the major benefit here is to people who can import their games. For example, now if you live in Canada and own an NTSC-U GameCube but import a game from Japan, with this mod all you have to do is flip the switch and just like that you have an NTSC-J console!
