How to Install a WordPress Plugin from a Zip File - WordPress Plugin Installation
81If you are new to WordPress or set up a new WordPress website, want to install a plugin using a zip file then follow these easy steps:
Download a free or premium WordPress plugin zip file on your computer.
1. Login to your WordPress website admin dashboard
2. Go to the Plugins menu: Plugins - Installed Plugins
3. At top of the page click on "Add New" button
4. After redirection, another button will appear on top "Upload Plugin" click on that button
5. It will show a screen to locate and upload the plugin zip file, now click on the "Choose File" button and select the plugin zip file from your local computer drive.
6. Click on the "Install Now" button to start the plugin installation. After that, your plugin zip file will upload to your website and WordPress will unpack the zip file and install the plugin in your plugins directory.
7. Now you can click on the "Activate" link to activate the plugin on your website.
After the plugin installation, you go to that plugins settings panel to configure.
